Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to set up the stand once I get it out of the bag?

Place the base feet on the ground with the alloy tubes facing upwards when assembling the stand tubes. Make sure straps are clear before raising each of the pole ends. This way there is no confusion where each part should go.

What happens if the hammock end is pointing the wrong way around when I set up the hammock?

Always check the poles or hinge systems are not twisted, before extending the Hammock Frame out. If a twist occurs, bring poles back together to untwist. Don’t try to untwist poles when hammock frame is extended, there will be a lot of tension on twisted poles.

When I try to put the stand away its hard to separate the poles how should I do it?

When folding the stand away, tread onto the base plates so that the poles can be pulled apart more easily.

The hammock will not fit into the bag is the bag too small?

Put the stand in the back with the base feet last. Once the hammock is folded wrap the loose hammock fabric around the end of the stand that you are putting into the bag first so that is does not gather at the top of the bag in one heap.

I find the straps get all tangled how do I stop this?

Make the connection straps as short as possible, then clip them to the hammock connection ring where the hammock rope is attached, so they are out of the way each time.

How do I stop dirt getting into the bag after using the stand outdoors?

Brush off any dirt or sand from the base feet before putting in the bag. Use a plastic bag provided to keep pegs in before putting into the bag pocket if covered with sand or dirt.

We hope you enjoy your new Anchor Hammock purchase.
